Adele crushed it at the 59th annual Grammy Awards, with her album "25" winning 5 different Grammys and shutting out Beyonce, who was also nominated for all five categories.

Adele won album of the year, record of the year, song of the year, best solo performance, best pop vocal album and best pop solo performance.

Beyoncé, didn't leave without a statue though, winning Grammys for best urban contemporary album for “Lemonade” and the award for best music video for the song “Formation.”

Chance the Rapper took the prize for best rap album for Coloring Book and country music legend Willie Nelson won a Grammy for Traditional Pop Vocal with Summertime: Willie Nelson Sings Gershwin.

On the country music front Sturgill Simpson won best album for A Sailor's Guide to Earth, and Lori McKenna picked up the win for best country song for "Humble and Kind."

Performances on the night included Adele, who opened the festivities with her hit song "Hello." Later, during a tribute to George Michael, she was forced to restart the singer's “Fastlove” after she was dissatisfied with the opening.

Beyoncé, a recently disclosed mother-to-be herself, paid homage to motherhood with a multi-media segment that included both her mother and her five-year-old daughter Blue Ivy.

The Grammys were held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, with James Corden as host for this year's event.
